We have developed a prototype of a touchless control demonstration application using our ToF depth sensor and its BEM80T compact ToF camera module. The fast response performance of the BT008D sensor enables high-performance non-contact gesture recognition. This demo application of touchless control UI is developed using the BEM80T and its API platform.

Brookman Technology has developed a prototype finger gesture device using Brookman's CMOS-ToF depth image sensor and the small ToF camera module BEM80T, in collaboration with Toppan Printing Co., LTD.
 While the world is paying attention to making every electric device "Touchless Control" as a countermeasure against the new coronavirus, Toppan Printing's gesture recognition technology combined with Brookman's CMOS-ToF depth sensor technology will enable "high-speed" and "high-performance" non-contact gesture recognition.

We had decided the suspension of Tokyo and Osaka satellite offices has been extended until the end of May and all their staff keeps teleworking at home. Moreover, although the Hamamatsu headquarters is still in business from 9 AM to 6 PM, most of all staff have been teleworking at home. For now, all offices are planned to resume business as usual from the first of June.

People around the world are affected by the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Brookman Technology is voluntarily complying with the public health policies of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to take every precaution. Besides, we are focused on the well-being of our staff, customers, and partners.

Due to the ever-changing situation related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) day by day in Japan, we had decided to suspend our Tokyo and Osaka satellite offices for a limited time until the 6th of May. For now, these offices are planned to resume business on the 7th of May at the earliest. At this period of time, all staff working at these offices has been teleworking at home. So far, the Hamamatsu headquarters is still in business as usual. The usual business hours are from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Brookman’s Chairman; Dr. Shoji Kawahito & Research Fellow Dr. Takashi Watanabe will participate into 2019 International Image Sensor Workshop (IISW), during June 23-27, Snowbird, Utah, USA, and speak about Time of Flight/Lock-in Pixel technologies (Sessions: R15, R28, R37, R41) and Rad-hard image sensor (Session: R47), respectively.
Please do not miss them, which are the technological backbones of our sensor products.
